We found no entry for Wichenford in the Domesday survey. Miller (1890) notes this chapel's dependency from Worcester St. Helen's and adds: "Bishop Bliss, 1233, made provision for the maintenance of a vicar. The church was dedicated 1269 [...] rebuilt 1863 [...] the font, which is octagonal, is modern." The Victoria County History (Worcester, vol. 3, 1913) notes: "A church or chapel [...] has existed at Wichenford from early times. The chapel of Wichenford, which was attached to the church of St. Helen, Worcester, was granted by the monks after the death of Bishop Wulfstan [i.e., probably Wulfstan II, d. 1095] to Fritheric, the priest of St. Helen's, who was to make provision for them during his lifetime. [...] The nave is the oldest part of the present church and dates from about 1320 [...] There is some evidence of the existence of a 12th-century church in the capitals of that date preserved at the rectory"; no font mentioned. English Heritage [Listing NGR: SO7871960147] (1959) reports a plain 19th-century font in this church.
