Font Notes:
There is an entry for [Martin] Hussingtree [variant spelling] in the Domesday survey [http://domesdaymap.co.uk/place/SO8860/martin-hussingtree/] [accessed 30 October 2014], but it mentions neither cleric nor church in it. Miller (1890) reports the church here dedicated to St. Nicholas as having a 13th-century window on the north side of the chancel; the font, however, is modern. The Victoria County History (Worcester, vol. 4, 1924) notes that parts of the fabric of this church go back to the 12th and 13th centuries, but the font is modern. Brooks & Pevsner (2007) note that some fittings, including the font, are from the 1857-1858 restoration by Frederick Preedy. [NB: we have no information on the medieval font]
