Brooks & Pevsner (2007) note that the present font is round, "carved with arum lilies by Mrs. Sale" [i.e., Mary Sale, wife of the then Rector]. Brooks & Pevsner (ibid.) report also a "C18 baluster font, from Great Witley" in this church. A local history website [http://www.phancocks.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/localhistory/Little%20Witley%20church.htm] [accessed 1 June 2010] suggests Little Witley, a chapelry of St. Hlen's, Worcester, around the time of the Conquest, did not get its baptismal and burial rights until the end of the 14th century. [NB: we have no information on the medieval font]
