There are three entries for [Great and Little] Combertone [varian spelling] in the Domesday survey [http://domesdaymap.co.uk/place/XX0000/great-and-little-comberton/] [accessed 7 October 2014]; one of them, in the lordship of Gilbert, son of Turold, reports a priest in it. The Victoria County History (Worcester, vol. 4, 1924) notes: "The church was first mentioned in 1283 when the advowson belonged to William Fitz Warin. [...] The 12th-century church appears to have consisted of a nave and chancel of the same size as the existing ones, and of these the north nave wall and the base of the south chancel wall are still standing. [...] The font has a circular stem and a plain octagonal bowl with a modern cross cut in one face." English Heritage (1965) reports: "The C15 octagonal font is on a round stem". Not mentioned in Brooks & Pevsner (2007). The basin is cracked through at the underbowl; the lower base and plinth are modern.
