There is an entry for Evesham in the Domesday survey [http://domesdaymap.co.uk/place/SP0343/evesham/] [accessed 4 November 2014], but it mentions neither cleric nor church in it. English Heritage (1952) notes: "A church of C12 origin, of which the font and masonry fragments built into the nave walls survive from this date. [...] The plain round tapering tub font is C12." Brooks & Pevsner (2007) note: "Font. Plain. Norman, tub-shaped."
