There is an entry for Doverdale [variant spelling] in the Domesday survey [http://domesdaymap.co.uk/place/SO8666/doverdale/] [accessed 16 September 2014], and it reports a priest and a church in it. Miller (1890) notes the church of Norman times restored in 1858; no font mentioned in Miller. The Victoria County History (Worcester, vol. 3, 1913) notes: "There were a church and priest at Doverdale at the time of the Domesday Survey", but reports a modern font in the medieval church. Brooks & Pevsner (2007) remark on the furnishings by Preedy, of his 1858-1859 renovation. Plain polygonal basin raised on a plain cylindrical pedestal base and a moulded round lower base. Wooden cover is an octagonal spire with panelled sides and foliated finial; appears modern. [NB: we have no information on the medieval font]
