According to Anderson (1864), the chapel of Midlleton, near Bitterley, was "subject at first to Bitterley church, afterwards belonged to Wenlock priory. Newman & Pevsner (2006) note a Norman nave and chancel, but the church was re-built in the mid-19th century; they report a font of 1858 in this church. [NB: we have no information on an earlier font in this church]
