The font in this church is not mentioned in Lee's History (1861), while he mentions others in surrounding village churches. Anderson (1864) notes: "This church, alluded to in Domesday notice of Drayton [Draitune], was probably the Saxon mother church of a district. Newman & Pevsner (2006) note: "Font. Probably C15. Octagonal with arcaded faces and on the base rosettes and foliate crosses." [NB: we have no information on the earlier font(s) of this church].
