Anderson (1864) notes the church at Highley existed by 1148. No font mentioned in Newman & Pevsner (2006). The Parish informs [e-mail communication from David Poyner and Clive Williams, rector, to BSI (13 and 18 April 2010)] that the present form is modern, probably Victorian, and that there is no knowledge of the medieval font locally] [NB: we have no information on the Norman font of this 12th-century church and suspect that it was replaced at the time of the 19th-century renovation of the church]
