The font consists of an octagonal basin with concave sides decorated witha pronounced moulding at the upper rim, and trefoil tracery all around; the basin bay have been altered at the bottom, perhaps cut; the upper part of the stem is decorated, the lower half is plain; the lower base is made up of four octagonal mouldings set angle-on-side forming a star-like arrangement. The font appears to have a metal (brass?) insert, rather than a lining.
