Font Notes:
Baptismal font made of bronze by Ghert Klinghe (ca. 1400-1478) in 1455, consisting of a bucket-shaped basin with a protruding flat moulding at the upper rim bearing a Latin inscription that includes the date of the font; the sides are decorated with an arcade of Gothic arches that inscribe a Crucifixion scene, the Apostles, Madonna and Child, a bishop...; the lower rim also bears a Latin inscription; raised on four religious figures -both male and female?- at 90-degree angles. Low conical dome cover with foliated finial; there is two heads or masks at opposite ends of the cover; they appear to be the handles of the cover.
