Baptismal font of bronze cast 1357 by Gerhard Kranemann [aka Cranemann], from Lübeck. Noted in 'Gotische Bronzefünten in Nordostdeutschland' [http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gotische_Bronzef%C3%BCnten_in_Nordostdeutschland] [accessed 30 March 2010]. The font consists of a bucket-shaped basin decorated with two parallel arcades of crocketed trefoiled arches containing scenes, figures, symbols, etc., among which have been identified the patron saints of the church, Lawrence abd Catherine of Alexandria, the Baptism of Christ, the Crucifixion of Christ, the Instruments of the Passion and an armorial device repeated several times; there are two inscriptions on parallel bands on the sides.
