The present baptismal font in the cathedral of Valladolid consists of a hemispherical basin decoarted with a large moulding at the rim and a smaller one on the sides below, raised on a moulded square pedestal with blank panels on the sides. It ias probably the original of the 17th-century building [NB: we have no information on the font(s) of the earlier collegiate churches on this site]. The font is now [2008] located in the Capilla de Nuestra Señora de los Dolores, the second chapel from the west on the north side, but was located earlier in the original baptismal chapel, the Capilla de San Juan Evangelista, the westermost chapel on the north side.
