The present baptismal font is modern, the work of local artesan/sculptor Venancio Amillano [http://www.aldorinternet.com/amillano/talla.htm] [accessed 21 March 2010]; it consists of an octagonal basin decorated with a variety of motifs on its tapering sides; the underbowl has a ribbed pattern; the cylindrical stem has a large shield bearing a coat of arms; the lower base is octagonal, with large leaves at the angles. [NB: the church dates to the 16th century, but we have no information on the original font. No font mentioned in the Cat. Monumental]
