Font Notes:
The font consists of a bucket-shaped basin that is plain but for a roll moulding at the upper rim, producing a groove on the upper surface; rests on a squat and narrow circular base; there are two metal staples for the font cover at opposite ends of the basin rim; the sides of the basin are very thick; the font appears medieval, probably of the 13th century, though it could be as late as the 16th.
