Noted originally in José Serrano Belinchón in May 1981 [reprinted in http://guplazamayor.blogspot.com/2009/10/riba-de-saelices-la.html [accessed 16 March 2010], as reported by Herrera Casado [cf. infra] as a baptismal font of composite nature: an early (11thC?) basin on a later base [="La iglesia guarda en su interior […] lo más antiguo de la iglesia, según el Dr.Herrera Casado, es la pila bautismal. Parece ser que, por lo menos toda la parte de la taza, es del siglo XI, la peana debe ser un poco posterior."] It is not mentioned in the Enciclopedia del románico en Castilla-La Mancha: Guadalajara (2009).
