The Enciclopedia del románico en Castilla-La Mancha: Guadalajara (2009) does not have an entry for this locality, but its font is mentioned in the context of the one at Gascueña de Bornova, as being somewhat similar: a hemispherical basin decorated with bulging ribs topped with round arch-heads. The Enciclopedia del románico en Castilla-La Mancha: Guadalajara (2009) notes and illustrates the baptismal font originally from the Iglesia de [la Transfiguracón de?] San Salvador, in Alcorlo; the font and the church itself, stone by atone, were moved to the new village of Azuqueca de Henares in the 1980s, at the time of the building of a dam that would flood Alcorlo and its Romanesque church. The font consists of a roughly cylindrical basin decorated with ribbed patterned, raised on round squat moulded stem, and a round to square lower base decorated with nail-head motif. This source dates to the 13th century and points out similarities with the fonts at Gascueña de Bornova and Villaescusa de Palositos [cf. Index entry]. The font is now [2009] in the Iglesia Parroquial de Santa Teresa de Jesús, Azuqueca de Henares.
