Noted and illustrated in Pérez Arribas as a fragment of a Romanesque baptismal font decorated with starfish [NB: this author's description of the motif is not convincing, and it can better described as either nail-head or dog-tooth]. The decoration appears on the round arch-heads that frame the upper part of the ribs of the sides. The font itself is believed to be of a design common in this region, a hemispherical basin with a roll moulding at the upper rim, and a pattern of broad ribs topped with round archheads that are usually plain, and only occasionally, as in this case, patterned.
