This modern font is noted and illustrated in the Roughwood British Churches Album [http://www.roughwood.net/ChurchAlbum/Kent/Burmarsh/BurmarshAllSaints2005.htm] [accessed 13 February 2010], The modern font consists of an octagonal basin with slightly tapering sides decorated with round panels, raised on a moulded stem and lower base, both octagonal as well. The wooden cover is octagonal and flat, with metal decoration and handle; modern. [NB: the fabric of the church goes back to the Norman period, but we have no information on the earlier font]
