Noted and illustrated in Carita (2009); baptismal font of the Indo-Portuguese period/style consisting of a hemispherical basin decorated with a thin roll moulding at the upper rim, a brod mouldin of (lotus?) leaves below, and a ribbed pattern coverin the rest of the sides and underbowl all around; on the short stem there are four fierce-looking rampant dragons at 90 -degree angles; brightly painted in bl;ack, red and white [Carita (ibid.) relates them to the Hindu myth of the dragon Vritra];between the dragons the stem has been carved through around gloden spindles; below both is a pattern of (lotus?) leaves; the octagonal lower base has graded mouldings with lotus flowers and leaves alternating on the sides. The bacground color of the font exterior is green, and there are gold accents as well as the colours noted for the dragons. [cf.
