Noted and illustrated in Carita (2009); baptismal font of the Indo-Portuguese period/style consisting of a hemispherical basin decorated with a braid moulding followed down by a smaller one that could represent lotus flower petals; thge rest of the sides and underbowl is covered in a diagonal ribbed pattern with, again lotus flower petals between the ribs; there are dragons on the sides of the upper end of the octagonal stem [Carita (ibid.) relates them to the Hindu myth of the dragon Vritra]; ball motifs between the dragons; (lotus?) leaves and flowers on the sides of the lower base. The whole is painted (?) a shiny ochre colour. [cf. Index entries for Kadamattom and Kuruppampady for other examples of this font type]
