Noted in René Pécherat (2009) as a capital hollowed now be used as baptismal font in the church at Villegongis; it is suggested that the capital came originally from the Abbaye de Déols; the sides of the capital are decorated with a twisting vine.
The entry for this object in Palissy [ref.: PM36000304], however, describes it as a stoup in the nave, not a font: "Ancien chapiteau servant de bénitier [...] pierre [...] H = 73 ; l = 73 ; la = 45 [...] 12e siècle [...] Nef [...] Proviendrait de Déols (?)". Illustrated in Mémoire [ref.: AP36W00839, OA036_20203601853 and OA036_20203601854]
