Bulmer's Directory of 1901 notes: "The font is a very ancient one, of freestone." Noted in Cox (1913): "The rude font, 25 in. by 23 in., is of uncertain age". [NB: the earliest part of the church is Anglo-Saxon, according to Cox; other parts are late Norman, etc.] The Eden Hall and Edenhall Parish website [http://musgravemanor.homestead.com/EdenHall.html] [accessed 31 January 2010] notes the font as Norman, made of sandstone.
