Another of Rome's Baroque fonts: oval marble basin raised on a pedestal base with large cherub on it; busy pink marble top, in the manner of a cover, but functionally not one. The church itself was designed by Michelangelo and, after his death in 1564, completed by his disciple Jacopo Lo Duca. [cf. Index entry for Rome No. 27 for a listed stoup in this church]
