Noted and illustrated in http://picotaycepo.blogspot.com/ [accessed 22 January 2010]; baptismal font consisting of a roughly hemispheric basic with ribs all around, raised on a square pedestal base and a circular lower base or plinth partly buried in the ground now; a pair of old iron staples are used to lock the new wooden cover with metal locking hardware. The ribbed pattern that decorates the side of the basin font has been garishly painted in shocking colours recently. [cf. BIS entry for Otero de Vizbayo No. 2 for a similar holy-water stoup in this church]
