An ancient font was found during the reconstruction of the church of the 12th-century Augustinian Priory [reported in the website of the Brinkburn Music Festival [http://www.brinkburnmusic.org/pages/bb_priory.htm] and in the Rothbury Parish website [http://www.rothbury.co.uk/around/brinkburn.htm] [accessed 25 January 2010]. The National Monuments Record (English Heritage) entry for Brinkburn Priory Church [http://www.imagesofengland.org.uk/details/default.aspx?pid=1&id=236739] [accessed 20 January 2010] notes a "plain medieval font in presbitery".
