Baptismal font of neo-Norman design but Victorian date; it consists of a cylindrical basin with two registers of decoration: the upper one has saw-tooth pattern with rosettes on the teeth, the spaces between the teeth filled in with coloured marble; the lower register has a scalloped edge with garland-like folds; on a broad circular stem and a moulded lower base, also round. The wooden cover is a tall one of open-work; like the font itself, mid-19th-century. [NB: a chapel is believed to have existed here since Norman times, but it is not certain whether or not an earlier font existed in this location]
