Church Notes: first church built by Charlemagne as a shrine for the relic of Christ's sandals; after many changes, destructions and re-buildings it was totally re-built ica. 1721; damaged in WWII; restored 1950
Baptismal font consisting of an octagonal basin with a rounded underbowl, raised on a plain octagonal stem and a moulded square lower base. The basin sides have an inscription in Gothic lettering recording the date of the font (?); the underbowl has a blank shield symbol on each face. The whole is covered in pink paint. The metal cover is a low dome with a cross finial; modern.
