Noted in García Gómez (2007) as a baptismal font of the Romanesque period, one of group of cognate fonts (Castejón del Campo, Hinojosa del Campo, Pinilla del Campo, Sauquillo del Alcázar and Taroda); García Gómez (ibid.) further notes rope moulding on the lower base, as on the fonts at Ledrado and Oteruelos; and on the basin sides he reports also a row of round arch-heads.on columns, a human figure and a wavy line. Described in the website of the municipality [www.hinojosadelcampo.es] [accessed 12 June 2010]: "pila bautismal de forma troncocónica que se decora con un cuarto de bocel en la embocadura, una serie de arcos de medio punto que apean en columnas pareadas, en las enjutas aparecen aves y serpientes".
