Noted in García Gómez (2007) as a baptismal font of the Romanesque period with a torsade moulding on the base; GG (ibid.) also mentions arches decorated with beaded tape. The font is described in the municpality website [http://www.espejadesanmarcelino.es] [accessed 3 December 2009]: "pila bautismal con basamento formado por ocho fustes dispuestos de forma helicoidal, la copa se decora con un tallo ondulante y una sucesión de arcos de medio punto." The font consists of a round basin decorated with a vine and an arcade of round arches; the lower base is made up of six shafts arranged in a torsade.
