A modern font contemporary with the date of the 1764 church is noted in Mackenzie (1834): "the font, the bason of which is oval, is of beautiful marble". [NB: the chapel that existed here before the building of the 18th-century church, and was in ruins by that time, is said to have dated to the 11th or 12th century, but we have no information of a font in it].
