Font Notes:
Noted in Tyack (1899) as a "small font of silver". However, the March 1, 1860 edition of 'The Civil Engineer and Architect's Journal' informs of a "picturesque little church has lately been erected in the parish of St. Mary de Castro", and describes its font as being of Caen stone, a "large circular bowl supported on a square base, on each face of which is carved a sign of one of the Evangelists, the bowl externally being diapered".
