Font Notes:
Baptismal font consisting of a hemispherical basin with a running inscription around the sides with the date 1614 and the text "CAPEL SAINT GARMON BETWS 1614". As is the case with some other Restoration fonts, they are earlier fonts that had been previously discarded and were restored to their churches in the mid-17th century; many of them were inscribed with the date of the restoration and the names of the churchwardens; at the time some re-tooling did take place in some cases. The hemispherical basin appears to have veeb re-carved completely, in this case, but the octagonal-to-square stem and lower base appear to be original, probably 13th- or 14th-century. Flat wooden cover with moulded handle.
