Noted in 'On the ancient stone fonts of Cornwall' (1851): "We will now consider the fonts of the First-pointed period, very few of which remain in Cornwall. Probably one of the earliest is that in the church of S. Anthony, in Roseland; it is plain, with no ornamentation : (circa 1200.)"
