Baptismal font probably 13th century, of the Portuguese Romanesque period; the basin is circular with a round chamfer; the sides of the basin are framed by a pair of parallel rope mouldings between which are large rosettes that have dot motifs between them at the lower sides; the underbowl chamfer is decorated with a variety of floral and foliage motifs inscribed in circles; the base is cylindrical and fairly short, and has a rope moulding at the top followed down by two rows of rosettes and six-petalled flowers, the latter inscribed in cricles, and dots between the motifs at both ends. The stone appears to be a course granite. The font is raised on a modern (?) quadrangular plinth. The wooden cover is plain, flat and round; appears modern.
