Font Notes:
Parker (1855) notes: "The font has a plain square bowl". Noted and illustrated in Kontt (2009). The font consists of a rather crude basin that is square but with wide chamfers at the angles, which makes it almost octagonal; the pedestal base is of similar shape; the lower base is square. The wooden cover has a platform that matches the shape of the basin, with four vertical scroll ribs around a turned pivot.
