Parker (1855) notes "a good P[erpendicular] font" in this church. Knott (1999?) remarks on the paint on the font [NB: the font, as it stands now, 1 October 2008, is partly painted in bright colours]. The font consists of an octagonal basin decorated with varied tracery on the sides; the underbowl is moulded on the sides and has what appears to be the remains of human heads at the corners; on an octagonal stem with tracery on the sides; raised on an octagonal plinth that appears modern.
