Parker (1855) reports and octagonal font "with panelled bowl, most effectually defaced by whitewash". That font must have disappeared during renovations after Parker's visit; the present font, illustrated in Knott (2007?), is also octagonal, and decorated with tracery around the basin sides is 19th-century; the painted wooden cover is also modern. [NB: we have no information on the whereabouts of the old font]
