Noted in Parker (1855) as an "early and poor P[erpendicular]" font. Illustrated in the Bansfield Benefice website [http://www.bansfieldbenefice.org.uk/images/stradishall/font.jpg] [accessed 4 November 2009]. The font consists of an octagonal basin raised on an octagonal pedestal base, both decorated with varied tracery patterns, and a moulded lower base of the same shape; the basin is lead-lined, and there is damage to the upper rim consistent with the removal of old cover staples.
