Font Notes:
There are six entries for [Ixworth] Thorpe in the Domesday survey [http://opendomesday.org/place/TL9172/ixworth-thorpe/] [accessed 8 October 2017], one of church reports a church and 0.03 church lands in it. Parker (1855) notes a plain octagonal font here; no date suggested. Illustrated in Knott (2008). The late-Medieval (?) baptismal font consists of a plain octagonal basin raised on a plain octagonal stem and a moulded octagonal lower base. The wooden cover is plain, octagonal and flat; probably modern. [NB: a church here is reported in to the Domesday survey period, but we have no information of the original font of this church]
