Font Notes:
Described in Parker (1855) as an octagonal font "with shields on a panelled bowl" from the medieval church. Noted and illustrated in Knott (2008). The octagonal basin is covered in a variety of foliage motifs, the lower end of the underbowl chamfer moulded; octagonal pedestal base, and moulded lower base of the same shape; on an octagonal plinth. The basin appears to have been re-cut, and the pedestal base is probably of a much later date. The wooden cover is of the Ogee dome type, probably 19th-century.
