Parker (1855) reports a modern font in this church. The present font is illustrated in Knott (2008), an octagonal basin with tracery on the sides, raised on a central shaft and eight outer colonnettes, all modern. Wooden cover roughly in the style the old Jacobean design with raised scroll ribs, here converging on a cross; modern as well. [NB: the fabric of the church goes back to the 14th century, but we have no information on the earlier font; the present one dates probably from the 1870s renovation of the church, and has retained a 15th-century porch; the Domesday survey of 1086 reports a church here].
