Noted in Parker (1855): "Font, P[erpendicular]; an octagon, with shields in square panels". Noted and illustrated in Knott (2009) as a typical East Anglian font, "cracked and recut". The octagonal basin has 'hanged' blank shields deeply set in square panels on its sides; the underbowl chamfer has angel heads at the angles, with floral motifs below; the octagonal-to-square pedestal base has seated lions alternating with buttresses on the sides; on a narrow octagonal plinth. The wooden cover is octagonal and flat, and has a Latin cross on it; appears modern.
