Noted in Parker (1855) as an octagonal font of the Perpendicular period "with evangelistic symbols on the bowl". Knott (1999?] notes the font cover carved by the villagers under the direction of Darling (junior). [NB: the church fabric is 12th-century, but we have no information on the original font]
