Noted in Parker (1855) as a Perpendicular font "with shields and roses on the bowl". Noted and illustrated in Knott (2000, 2008), who suggests the paint on it may be 18th-century. The floral motifs and shields are framed in pointed foiled panels; the underbowl chamfer has angel heads at the angles; the pedestal base has seated lions alternating with buttresses on the sides. Paint remains on parts of the font.
