Noted in Parker (1855) as a plain octagon. The present font is of overall octagonal design, but it is not plain, having quatrefoiled panels all around the basin and a moulded underbowl, raised on a moulded pedestal base [NB: this must be a Victorian replacement of the font noted in Parker]. The font cover is a modern version of the Jacobean four scroll-rib design.
