Described in Parker (1855): "Font, an octagon, with panels and shields in the bowl." Octagonal basin decorated with deeply-carved shields inscribed in pointed quatrefoils on the sides, raised on a plain pedestal base and lower base, both octagonal and modern, and an octagonal plinth with pairs of round quatrefoils on the sides; the plinth appears original [NB: the original stem would have been decorated in accord with the patterns on the basin and plinth]. The wooden font consists of a flat octagonal platform with four reised ribs of 'tabernacle' work; appears Victorian.
