Noted in Piercey (1828): "The font is plain, and cannot boast of much antiquity." Cox (1912), too, mentions a new font in this church. The font is probably a replacement brought in the 1830s renovation of the old church. Pevsner & Williamson (1979) do not mention a font in their entry for this church. [NB: we have no information on the font of the mid-13th century church]
