Described in Bailey (1900): "The font is ascribed to the fifteenth century, and is remarkable as having what appears to be a kneeling-stone for the officiating minister at baptisms." Described in Cox (1912): "Octagonal Dec[orated] font has good tracery on shaft, and well-moulded base." Noted in Guilford (1927) as 15th-century font. Pevsner & Williamson (1979) described it as "octagonal, with some tracery", but do not date it.
