Griffin (1909) reports "an old tub font, which, unfortunately, has been tampered with" in this church. Noted in Cox (1912) as a "tub font modernised", probably after Griffin. The original basin must have been larger and of a different shape; it now shows hints of octagonal shape at the upper rim, combined with a rounded underbowl; probably reduced in size as well; it has been raised on a modern polygonal pedestal column. It has an old wooden cover, perhaps 17th-century, of low-dome shape with a ball finial; there are faint fleurs-de-lys painted on the cover sides.
